The Ley Maps addon
A quiet note-taker. It watches what the game's own interface already shows you and writes it down. It never plays for you, never reads chat and never reads game memory.
What it notes
Quests
Accepts and turn-ins with the XP and money they paid, where each quest giver stands, the rewards on offer and which one you picked, and where objectives get done.
Loot and drops
What each creature, chest, herb or ore node gave, so Ley Maps can count real drop rates per corpse.
Vendors and trainers
What vendors sell and trainers teach, and where they stand.
Professions and fishing
Skill-ups, crafts, recipes learned, and every fishing cast with what it caught.
Dungeon runs
Who ran it, which bosses fell and how long the clear took.
Your character
Level, quests done, hearthstone inn, flight paths learned, gear and stats, and how long your flights and boat rides took. Guides are planned from this.
The full list, and what is never recorded, is on Your data.
Saving: the one habit that matters
WoW only writes addon data to disk when you /reload, log out or quit. The tray app
uploads within seconds after that. The addon reminds you to /reload now and then (at
most every 5 minutes, never in combat); /ley nudge off quiets it until your next
reload. How uploading works.
What else lives in the addon
- The in-game guide: your leveling guide in the quest tracker, with an arrow.
- The GPS: directions from where you stand to any step, town or service.
Slash commands
The everyday ones are on Set up the addon. The guide's and the GPS's are on their own pages:
| Command | What it does |

Status: what's recorded, what's waiting to be saved, and help |

The tray keeps the addon current. You don't need to download updates by hand: the tray installs new versions for you and can roll one back. More about the tray app.
