Set up the addon in WoW

The tray installs Ley Maps for you. You only need to switch it on once and know the one habit that matters: /reload.

  1. Turn the addon on

At the character select screen, click AddOns (bottom left) and make sure Ley Maps is ticked. If WoW was already running when the tray installed it, quit to the desktop and start the game again: a brand-new addon folder needs a restart, not just a /reload.

  2. Log in and check it's listening

Type /ley in chat. The addon answers with what it has recorded this session and how many notes are waiting to be saved.

  3. Save with /reload

WoW only writes addon data to disk when you /reload, log out or quit. The tray uploads within seconds after that. The addon gently reminds you to /reload now and then (at most every 5 minutes, never in combat); /ley nudge off quiets it until your next reload.

Slash commands

Command What it does
/ley Status: what's recorded, what's waiting to be saved, and help
/ley state What Ley Maps knows about this character (level, quests done, hearth, flight paths)
/ley scanlog Reads the rewards of quests already in your quest log
/ley done Ends the current dungeon run's timer by hand
/ley nudge off / on The /reload reminders
/ley reset confirm Wipes the data the addon has recorded on this PC

Leveling guides

Guides you ask for (on the website or from the Discord bot) arrive within about 5 minutes. After a /reload, the current step shows in your quest tracker with an arrow to where it happens.

Command What it does
/ley guide Opens the guide picker: choose, restart or delete guides
/ley guide next / back Moves a step forward or back
/ley guide show / hide Shows or hides the guide
/ley guide pin Sets a map waypoint for the current step
/ley guide tracker off / on Its own window instead of the quest tracker (on needs a /reload)
/ley guide auto off / on Whether the guide accepts and turns in the current step's quests for you

Auto accept is a convenience, never a choice-maker. When you open a quest window the guide may accept or complete that step's quest, but reward choices are always yours. Hold Shift to skip it once, or turn it off with /ley guide auto off (kept per character).
