For your guild
The Discord bot
Ask Ley Maps from your own Discord server. The bot answers only from what Ley Maps knows, and says where each answer came from and where Ley Maps has gaps.
Asking it things
-
@mention it
Write
@Ley Maps where do Big-mouth Clams come from?in any channel it can see. It starts a thread for the answer. -
Keep talking in the thread
Mention it again inside its thread to follow up; it remembers the last 20 messages there. Threads close themselves after a day.
-
Need a deeper answer?
Add
--opusto your question for the bot's most thorough model. It has a smaller hourly allowance.
Good questions to try
- "Quickest way to level 12 as an undead?"
- "Where should I fish for Big-mouth Clams, and do lures help?"
- "Which quests near Razor Hill pay the most XP for a level 8?"
- "Send my character a guide to level 15." (on servers where the bot may send guides)
Add it to your server
The bot asks only for what it needs to answer in threads: View Channel, Send Messages, Create Public Threads, Send Messages in Threads, Read Message History. It can't read messages that don't mention it (it doesn't use Discord's message content access), and it never pings anyone.
New servers wait for a nod. While the bot is young, the Ley Maps admins approve each new server by hand to keep answers quick for everyone. Until then the bot replies that it's waiting. Ask in our Discord community if it's taking a while.
In community servers the bot answers from Ley Maps but can't send in-game guides; those go out from its home server.

Questions are cut at 1,500 characters and answers at 3 messages. The bot stores no message text; it logs which server and user asked, the model, and the cost, to keep the allowances fair.
